IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ROAD RESURFACING 10/7/2020
Microsurfacing will start this Thursday (10/8) and continue Friday to be completed by Monday. There may still be some cleanup and/or patching necessary afterwards. Patching is done if someone does drive through the slurry and damage it to the point that it will not “wear in”. What and where is determined during our quality control phase following the initial installation. Anything identified to be cleaned or repaired will be completed as soon as possible during the following couple of weeks. We’ll also be sweeping up the sanding in that timeframe.
Notices will be handed out to all homeowners this afternoon. The notices will include the name of the supervisor and his phone number. (Brad Butcher, (804) 356-3489) Anyone who runs into any issues with getting in or out of their home should call him so they can work out how best to help.
North Carolina flaggers/traffic control subcontractors are better than most, however flaggers are responsible for helping residents get around the neighborhood (and stay off the wet micro). They are not always the best source of information about the microsurfacing itself, the plan of operations, etc. If anyone has any questions during operations, they should call the supervisor for help. If they have any general questions, they can call me. We’ll be happy to help.
And again, we encourage everyone to visit the neighborhoodslurry.com website to familiarize themselves with the process. Information about general scheduling will be kept up to date on the neighborhoodslurry.com/Durham page.
